CMCC Foundation will take part in the MT Academy through a training session delivered within the framework of the Meditech Project Work (Meet #3), introducing participants to open climate data and their practical applications. MT Academy is a regional initiative promoted by the Basilicata Region aimed at fostering digital innovation and attracting technical talent in Southern Italy.

The presentation covers the full lifecycle of a climate dataset, from numerical modelling and quality control to open publication and service delivery, illustrating how scientific data produced at CMCC are transformed into accessible public resources. Participants will be introduced to the key components of the CMCC open data ecosystem: the Data Delivery System (DDS) for raw dataset access, the Dataclime platform for operational climate services and indicators, the FAIR (Fast AI Reanalysis) product for near-real-time high-resolution reanalysis over Italy, and the AGORA Digital Academy for capacity building on climate data use.

With a background in AI and cloud architectures, MT Academy participants will explore how open climate datasets can be accessed programmatically, integrated into data pipelines, and leveraged to develop climate-aware digital applications across sectors such as urban planning, risk assessment, and territorial governance.
