SD-WISHEES Widening strategies tackling impacts of hydroclimatic extremes on cultural heritage

As a partner in the SD-WISHEES project, the CMCC Foundation is leading the organisation of the SD-WISHEES Showcase Event, an international exhibition that promotes research, innovation and collaboration to enhance the resilience of cultural heritage in the face of climate change and hydroclimatic extreme events.

The Showcase Event will take place on 11 November 2026 in Tbilisi, Georgia, as part of the SD-WISHEES Final Conference (10–12 November 2026). It will bring together researchers, policymakers, funding organisations, cultural heritage professionals, practitioners, civil society organisations, SMEs, innovation actors and international networks from Europe and beyond.

Designed as an interactive platform for dialogue and exchange, the Showcase Event will highlight projects, experiences, tools, methodologies, technologies and good practices that contribute to protecting cultural heritage from the growing impacts of climate change. By connecting research, policy, funding and practice communities, the event aims to strengthen collaboration, facilitate knowledge transfer and increase the uptake and long-term impact of research and innovation results.

Participants are invited to showcase initiatives addressing one or more of the following thematic areas:

Education, training, capacity building and knowledge transfer
Technologies, tools and methods for climate resilience
Co-creation, stakeholder engagement and local ownership
Governance, partnerships and funding mechanisms

Selected contributors will have the opportunity to present their work through exhibition stands, posters, demonstration activities and interactive displays, fostering networking opportunities and cross-sector collaboration.

Participation in both the Showcase Event and the SD-WISHEES Final Conference is free of charge.

Call for Showcase Contributions

Organisations, projects and stakeholders interested in contributing to the Showcase Event are invited to submit their application and consult the participation guidelines.
