Giulia Bonino is a PhD student in the PhD program “Science and Management of Climate Change” at the University of Venice Ca’ Foscari/CMCC.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Marine Science at University of Genova. As final dissertation she presented a thesis on “Implementation and validation of a wave model in the Ligurian Sea”, which has been awarded magna cum laude.
Her current field of research is the study of variability of Eastern Boundary Upwelling Systems (EBUS). In particular, in a ocean modelling framework (NEMO), she focuses her attention on EBUS oceanic response (coastal currents and sea surface temperature) to different atmospheric forcing and, moreover, she studies the interannual to decadal variability within and across EBUS.
