Mario Creti holds a Master’s degree in Physics, awarded with honors from the University of Salento (Lecce), and a PhD in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics. After completing his PhD in 2025, he joined the MISSION project at CMCC, where he works on mathematical and numerical modeling of the speed optimization problem for maritime transport. His research focuses on the implementation of speed optimization strategies within the VISIR-2 ship routing model, contributing to the development of Just-In-Time (JIT) solutions for reducing maritime CO₂ emissions.
