MARTA ELLENA is a PhD student at Ca’ Foscari University in Climate Change Sciences and Management (class 2021). She concluded a Master of Research (MRes) in Impact and Management of Climate Change in June 2018, and from January 2019 she is working as research fellow for the Regional Models and geo-Hydrological Impacts (REMHI) Division within the Euro-Mediterranean Center of Climate Change (CMCC). She is a scientific research consultant within the ALCOTRA Artaclim Interreg Project, aimed at developing vulnerability assessments on climate change impacts within thematic areas related to urban settlements, infrastructure systems and tourism (summer and winter) in a subregional area of Piedmont (Italy). Due to research activities, from July 2019 she collaborates with the SCaDU Servizio Sovrazonale di Epidemiologia (SEPI), to analyse the impact of extreme temperatures on human health within the urban context. From November 2019 she collaborates with the Climate Simulations and Predictions (CSP) Division of CMCC, in order to carry out research and development activities on adaptation to climate change as a scientific and technical support for the Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea (MATTM), within the framework of the actions foreseen for the international negotiations of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
