Davide achieved a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Mathematics at University of Bologna (Italy), with six months abroad at Cardiff University (UK) as part of the Erasmus project. He focused on mathematical physics and applied mathematics for biology, with a thesis on the emergence of the second Chargaff’s rule in DNA: “Symmetry and dynamics in a simplified model for transposons”

He started working for Zanasi & Partners in 2018 as Project Manager and was involved in several EC-funded research projects in the field of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and wildfire management. In particular, he was involved in FINSEC project (Integrated Framework for Predictive and Collaborative Security of Financial Infrastructures), ECHO (European Network of Cybersecurity Centres and Competence hub for innovation and operations) and SILVANUS (Integrated technological and information platform for wildfire management).

In November 2021 he will start his PhD at CMCC@CaFoscari, on Climate Change and Sustainable Development. His research will be focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence to multi-risk and multi-hazard assessment in terrestrial, marine and coastal environments.
