Matteo Funaro is Senior Scientific Manager at the CMCC Foundation, leading R&D projects and the “Science-Policy Interface and Applied Sociology” research unit. He possesses significant EU project management expertise, backed by a track record of successfully designing and submitting proposals, and previously teaching EU project design at the University of Sassari. His research is centered on integrating water and agricultural management, employing participatory methods, and developing strategies for climate adaptation and sustainable development coherence. Holding a Ph.D. in Methodology of Social Research and a M.Sc. in Policy Science, he has also conducted extensive field social research and project management across Sub-Saharan and North Africa. His work consistently bridges social and environmental sciences to drive effective policy and practical outcomes.
