Linkov Igor

Igor Linkov, US Army Corps and Carnegie Mellon University, was appointed Bassi Fellow with residencies in autumn 2025 and spring 2026. Dr. Linkov is a distinguished expert in risk and prevention management, developing methods and tools to measure resilience in interconnected networks, including environmental and energy systems.

His fellowship focuses on enhancing understanding of the resilience of socio-ecological systems under natural disasters and other risks, developing data-driven methods and models to address high-impact, low-probability events, and improving science communication with stakeholders, agencies, and the public.

In his CMCC Lecture, he discusses the latest science and practice in developing standardized resilience metrics and models for effective policy-making.
