Simone Norberti earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Salento, focusing his thesis on the Internet of Things (IoT). He then pursued a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering at the same university, specializing in Artificial Intelligence.
He collaborated with the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) on his thesis, “4D Transformer Neural Network for Ocean Forecasting: A Case Study Over the Mediterranean Sea,” applying deep learning to improve ocean forecasting.
Since September 2024, Simone has been a Junior Research Associate in the Advanced Scientific Computing (ASC) division of CMCC. In January 2025, he joined the Advanced Digital Innovation Center (ADIC), where he contributes to developing machine learning models for weather and climate applications.
