Juliana Ramos holds a Master’s degree in Geological Oceanography and an MBA in Data Science from the University of São Paulo. Since 2021, she has developed her career as a Geosciences Analyst and Marine Pollution Modeler. She began at Tetra Tech (2021–2024), where she conducted numerical modeling of currents, waves, morphology, and effluents, alongside monitoring beach profiles and preparing technical reports. Since October 2024, she has been working at the Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC), focusing on oil and plastic drift modeling using the MEDSLIK-II model. Her role includes contributing to the improvement of MEDSLIK-II, developing the WITOIL interface to facilitate model usage by non-expert users, and supporting environmental monitoring and emergency response through data preparation, model validation, and reporting.
