Sara holds a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, a postgraduate qualification in Forensic Sciences, and a PhD in Chemistry. Throughout her academic journey, she gained extensive expertise in instrumental analysis techniques and statistical methods.

She began her career at Veneto Nanotech, establishing and managing a physico-chemical analysis laboratory for nanomaterials. In 2013, she joined the Joint Research Centre (JRC), applying her expertise to support European policies on nanomaterials. From 2016, she focused on corporate strategy, overseeing JRC corporate indicators, Horizon programme indicators, strategic planning, and reporting, while liaising with inter-service groups.

InJanuary 2025, Sara joined the CMCC as a Senior Project Manager, working on the CONCERTO project, where she drives strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and project execution.

Beyond her professional life, she is passionate about rock climbing and yoga, which enhance her resilience and stress management, alongside reading and travelling, often seeking new adventures.
