Roshanak Tootoonchi holds a PhD in climate sciences from University of Trento, Italy. Her main research interests are climate dynamics, climate change and variability, meteorology, and the hydrological cycle. She also has a background in water resources management and statistical hydrology. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the CMCC-TCT division, and her research focuses on the impact of extreme events on Africa’s energy systems with a particular emphasis on infrastructure planning, decision-making, and development.
