More information

From January 26 to 28, the workshop “Fire Protection, Disaster Risk Management and Biodiversity Conservation: Mathematical Models, Operational Aspects and Territorial Interactions” will be held in the Seminar Room of the Department of Physics.
The initiative, part of the activities outlined in the PRIN PNRR 2022 project “Mathematical Modelling of Fire Propagation in Forests”, is dedicated to discussions on fire protection, risk management, and biodiversity conservation.
With contributions from national and international experts, the workshop will provide an opportunity to explore advanced mathematical modeling, new technologies, and territorial policies for risk forecasting and management, fostering dialogue between scientific research and practical applications.
CMCC will participate in the event with a talk by Paola Mercogliano titled “Fires and Climate Change: Danger, Impacts, and Risk Management”, scheduled for January 28, 2026.
Participation is open to the academic community to enrich discussions on these highly topical issues.
