The NATURANCE Final Event “Investing in nature pays off”, taking place online on May 26, 2026, is designed as a platform for interested finance and insurance stakeholders and knowledge networks to learn directly from the project experience.
The event will showcase key legacy outputs, including the CEN Workshop Agreement, the global Nature-based Solutions (NbS) Compendium, and Policy Briefs spanning the full risk insurance cycle. You will discover the latest advancements in the standardization of insurance and investment solutions based on the natural environment, embark on a global journey through NbS best practices, and ask any questions about your projects directly to our experts.
Through interactive plenary sessions and thematic breakout groups, participants will engage with innovation lab findings, exchange experiences, and explore how Nature-based Solutions can bridge financing gaps and advance risk transfer frameworks.
NATURANCE is a coordination and supporting action project funded under the Horizon Europe. The project will examine the feasibility and performance of combining disaster risk financing & investments with nature-based solutions through the creation of nature-based insurance & investment solutions (NBIS). The project aims to organise innovation finance and policy labs, analyse policy and governance conditions, assess risk-reduction performance of NBIS, and build awareness and capabilities for green financial innovations.
The CMCC Foundation plays a central role in the NATURANCE project, acting as project coordinator and leading core activities on dissemination, communication, engagement, and management.
