The CMCC Foundation is a partner of the 13th Annual Conference of the Italian Society for Climate Sciences (SISC), taking place on 22–24 October 2025 in Salerno, Italy, at the Municipality of Salerno premises.
The Conference aims to connect leading scientists, researchers, economists, practitioners, business leaders, and policy makers, whose activities are focused on different aspects of climate change, its impacts and related policies. Paola Mercogliano, Principal Scientist at CMCC and president of SISC for the 2025-2026 term, will officially open the Conference, which serves as an important interdisciplinary platform for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of science and management of climate change.
The opening session will be followed by the talk “Water science on the move: Metastatistics, limits, retooling, invisible structures” given by Andrea Rinaldo, CMCC Senior Fellow.
CMCC researchers will have a prominent role throughout the event, with numerous presentations, posters, and contributions across parallel sessions and plenary events.

On the occasion of the 13th Annual Conference, the Italian Society for Climate Sciences offers citizens a series of opportunities to reflect on the theme of a changing climate and promotes ongoing dialogue between current scientific knowledge, the public, policymakers, and younger generations.
All events are free of charge, subject to registration.
