CRIM COST ACTION Stakeholder Workshop
18–19 May 2026 | Rome, CNR headquarter, Taurini Conference room – Online
More information

The CRIM COST Action (CA24155) 1st Stakeholder Workshop, titled “Strengthening Traceability, Uncertainty and Impact in Climate Observations”, aims to foster a structured dialogue among researchers, network operators, manufacturers, and end-users. The event contributes to the operationalisation of CRIM objectives and represents an initial strategic step toward establishing a collaborative cooperation hub.

Key discussions will focus on advancing traceability and uncertainty evaluation frameworks across observational domains, improving interoperability and comparability of climate datasets, and aligning data practices with user needs. The event will also promote stronger connections between National Metrology Institutes (NMIs), meteorological services, research infrastructures, and industry stakeholders.

Expected outcomes include recommendations for coordinated experiments, data-sharing initiatives, training activities, and joint calibration efforts, alongside actions to enhance European collaboration, critical mass, and geographical balance within and beyond the CRIM network.

CMCC will contribute to the workshop through the participation of Alessandro Sebastianelli
