Fasolino Nunzia

Nunzia G. Fasolino holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics and Policy from the University of Bologna, with a thesis titled “Closing the loops: water – energy – bioeconomy nexus in a systemic framework”, focused on drought impacts and agricultural water demand within the bioeconomy. Prior to this, she completed a Master’s degree in Agricultural and Food Economics at SMEA – Università Cattolica (Cremona) with laude in 2019, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Markets, and Institutions at the University of Bologna in 2017.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of agricultural and environmental economics, with a particular focus on water resources. Specifically, her work aims to identify and propose policy interventions, particularly through public participation and bottom-up approaches in policy design.

She has also worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Bologna and as an consultant for national and international institutions, including the Italian Council for Agricultural Research (CREA) and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture (IICA).
