Fella Eugenio

Eugenio Fella is a PhD student in the “Future Earth, Climate Change and Societal Challenges” programme, coordinated by the University of Bologna and the CMCC Foundation. He obtained his BSc in Physics at the University of Padua where he later obtained his MSc in Physics of Data, a programme combining courses in physics of complex systems and data science. During his Master’s, he spent a period at the Environmental Physics department of the University of Heidelberg, focusing on climate physics, and completed a scientific traineeship at the JRC (Joint Research Centre) of the European Commission, within the Knowledge Centre on Earth Observation. At CMCC, he works in the CLIVAP (Climate Variability and Prediction) division, focusing on seasonal prediction of intense precipitation events using data-driven approaches.
