Francesca is a II-year PhD student in Climate Change Sciences and Management at Ca’ Foscari University. At CMCC, she works in the Risk Assessment and Adaptation Strategies division (RAAS) under the supervision of Dr. Mysiak. Together with other four, she founded BalanceShift, a startup within the Copernicus Accelerator program. She has expertise on climate services and climate innovation. Economist by training (MSc Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University and BA in Economics from the University of Pisa), Francesca has advanced programming skills and knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative methods.
Prior to joining CMCC, she worked for the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), the Economist Intelligence Unit and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in Europe, African and Central America.
Francesca is Italian by birth fully proficient in Spanish and English (C2) with intermediate knowledge of French (B2).
