Elisa Michiels is a PhD student with a background in environmental engineering. Her work at the Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with CMCC within the EIEE division, is focusing on tipping points and their impacts on hydrology, agriculture and hydropower for adaptation strategies, with particular interest in the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) potential collapse.
