Aurelio Raffa Ugolini is an Early Career Postdoctoral Researcher at the TCT Division of the CMCC Foundation. He holds a PhD in Data Analytics and Decision Sciences (DADS) from Politecnico di Milano, completed in partnership with Leonardo S.p.A., to develop Explainable AI-based tools for predictive maintenance of aeronautical subsystems.

His research focuses on data-driven modelling of hydro-climatic and environmental systems, with an emphasis on machine learning and explainable AI. He contributes to the analysis of large-scale datasets to infer behavioural patterns in water systems and support more realistic and actionable representations of resource management under climate change.
