Teresa Randazzo is a Junior Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of University of Venice “Ca’ Foscari”. She has joined the research team led by Enrica De Cian on the project “ENERGYA- Energy use for adaptation”.

She completed a PhD in Economics at the University of Kent (UK) in 2014. Her PhD thesis focused on the impact of migration and remittances on developing countries. Following her PhD, she spent 14 months as research assistant at the University of Kent and two years as postdoctoral fellow respectively at IMT Lucca and University of Bari “Aldo Moro”.

She is a member of the “Equalchances.org database” which is the world’s first online repository of internationally comparable information on inequality of opportunity and socio-economic mobility and she collaborates with the integgra.org project “Initiative on Education, Gender and Growth in Asia”.

Her main research interests are in the area of Development Economics covering the fields of Economics of Migration, Labour Economics and Applied Microeconometrics.
