Babak Razdar is a Civil Engineer with a PhD in Hydraulic Engineering from the University of Calabria (2016). Since 2024, he has been working in the “Adaptation Engineering” unit within the REMHI division of the ICR at CMCC Foundation. His research focuses on hydrological and hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessment, and the integration of machine learning and climate data in water-related hazard analysis. He has extensive research experience in environmental issues and previously held postdoctoral positions at the University of Brescia, where he worked on climate scenario analysis, drainage system modelling, and flood simulations in industrial areas. He has contributed to several national and European research projects and has published in peer-reviewed journals. His expertise includes shallow water modelling, urban flood simulation, rapid flood mapping, and the integration of climate model data into environmental decision-making.
