Description
The aim of this unit is the evaluation of the variation induced by Climate Change and human pressure on average and extremes atmospherical variables through development and implementations of Regional Climate Models (RCM). Different RCM optimized configuration, at high and very high resolution, in different geographical contexts, have been defined to provide detailed climate scenarios. The scientific activity also includes the analysis of the coupled local effects of urbanized areas and climate change through very high resolution simulations. Activities are carried out in scientific collaborations with several research institutions and through the participation to national and international projects (e.g. MENA – Cordex ed EURO-CORDEX)
