The poster “A Multicriteria Approach for Wildfire Risk Assessment  in the Rural Urban Interface” was awarded first prize at the International conference on forest fire risk modelling and mapping “Vulnerability to forest fire at wildland-urban interfaces”, held in Aix en Provence, France, from September 30 to October 2, 2013.

The authors awarded are: Franco Casula (University of Sassari- DIPNET), Costantino Sirca (CMCC – IAFENT), Ivan Cherchi (CFVA Corpo Forestale e di Vigilanza Ambientale della Regione Sardegna), Donatella Spano (CMCC – IAFENT).

Conference topics included: vulnerability assessment, post-fire assessment, management and firefighting in wildland-urban interfaces WUI.
