In 2014, she graduated with honors in Architecture at the University of Naples “Federico II” with a thesis on: “Sustainable strategies for eco-cities: from experiences of northern Europe to western area of Naples”.
In February 2018, she achieved a PhD degree in Architecture (XXX cycle) at the University of Naples “Federico II” with a research focusing on “Climate change adaptation in the urban environment. Environmental Design for reducing the vulnerability of urban system to pluvial flood”. During her research, it has been developed a model for climate vulnerability and adaptation assessment of urban areas based on quantitative indicators and aimed at supporting the selection of site-specific adaptive measures.
Since October 2018, she works at CMCC – REMHI Division focusing on urban microclimate and thermal comfort modelling by analyzing the small-scale interactions between individual buildings, surfaces and plants. In order to evaluate the effects of urban morphology on climate variations and outdoor thermal comfort, she is working also on parameterization of built environment characteristics (density, geometry, surface cover).
