Giaquinto Domenico

Domenico Giaquinto graduated in Environmental Engineering from the University of Naples “Federico II.” He then pursued a PhD at the “Scuola Superiore Meridionale” as part of the “Modeling and Engineering Risk and Complexity” program, focusing on the application of complex systems methodologies to climate studies. In particular, he utilized climate networks to analyze the structure and evolution of compound extreme event synchronizations and their causal relationships.

At CMCC, he joined the Climate Variability and Prediction division, working on the ASPECT project to improve decadal predictions by enhancing the understanding of North Atlantic variability.
