In Colombia, she worked with the UN World Food Programme, leading multimillion-dollar climate change and food security projects in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, including governments, UN agencies, NGOs, academia, and civil society, and providing technical assistance on resilience and climate change to the WFP Country Office and its partners. She also contributed to resource mobilisation with the EU and other international donors, such as ECHO, the Adaptation Fund and USAID. Chiara has also managed disaster risk reduction projects in rural and urban areas in Guatemala and Peru, coordinating capacity-building activities on DRR for local authorities and grassroots organisations.
