Chiara Trozzo is a Senior Scientific Manager and from October 2022 the Deputy Director of the CMCC Research Division on Information Systems for Climate science and Decision-making (ISCD). After a 2nd level International Master in Cooperation and Development (CDN Network- IUSS Pavia) and a Master Degree in International and Diplomatic Affairs (University of Bologna- sede di Forlì), she mainly delved with project management, resource mobilization and donor relations with international organizations and NGOs in different countries in Latin America.

In Colombia, Chiara worked with UN World Food Programme, leading multimillion climate change and food security projects in collaboration with a huge range of stakeholders (governments, UN agencies, NGOs, academia and civil society) and providing technical assistance on resilience and climate change to WFP Country Office and partners. She also contributed to resource mobilization with EU and international donors (ECHO, Adaptation Fund, USAID and other UN Funds). In addition, she also managed disaster risk reduction projects in rural and urban areas in Guatemala and Peru, coordinating capacity strengthening activities on DRR for local authorities and grassroots organizations.

Currently at CMCC Foundation she works on several research projects on adaptation to climate change and sustainable development decision-making and policy elaboration at European and local level.
