Piano Operativo di Dettaglio per l’Attuazione e Revisione della Strategia Regionale di Adattamento ai Cambiamenti Climatici (SRACC)

Adaptation is a local need in response to phenomena generated on a global scale, with very different effects and manifestations in different geographical areas and especially for Sardinia. The need to propose a clear strategy for adapting to climate change also for Sardinia has certainly matured since the scientific evidence of the phenomena taking place at a global level has highlighted the critical issues that the peculiarities of the territory can generate. RAS requested a revision of the SRACC developed in 2019 on strategic issues such as impacts on health in the urban environment, Infrastructure and strategic activities, Coasts and transition environments (with reference also to biodiversity, ecosystem services and coastal protection).

participation in Macro-Action 3- Characterization of the climatic condition for Sardinia with high spatial resolution and Macro-Action 4- Evaluation of the impacts of climate change on strategic sectors for the Sardinia region

Study of the climatic condition for Sardinia with high spatial resolution through the development of cognitive elements suitable for consolidating the process of adaptation to the regional and local scale.
Identify meteorological-climatic indicators and methodological approaches for the selection of indicators for carrying out climate risk analyzes.
Identify and calculate indicators of weather-induced danger for the strategic sectors of Sardinia.

Expected results
To have detailed estimates of expected climate changes and climate risk analyzes for the terrestrial part.
