CMCC@Ca’Foscari in-presence seminar
18 December 2025, 10:00 CET
Participation available only in presence and limited to the RAAS and ECIP researchers of the Venice office.

Speaker: Igor Linkov, CMCC – Bassi Fellowship

Moderator: Silvia Torresan, CMCC

From climate disasters to infrastructure failures, resilience is no longer a choice: it’s a necessity. Consistent and evidence-based approaches to measuring it are more urgent than ever. However, the lack of academic consensus on methods of resilience quantification and applications, fragmented across federal agencies, creates challenges in coordinating responses and evaluating the effectiveness of resilience-building initiatives. The speaker will dive into the latest science and practice in developing standardised resilience metrics and models and will explore how these metrics can be applied across multiple federal agencies to improve coordinated climate change preparedness, response, and recovery at a national level.
