Between 24-26 March, the REST-COAST project general assembly will take place in Catania. CMCC is a project partner and lead of the Venice project pilot, focusing on the restoration and intervention of artificial salt marshes already existing, aimed at accelerating the naturalisation processes for increasing priority habitats and biodiversity.
The meeting will focus on discussing the REST-COAST project updates, challenges and future plans. The fourth and final day of the meeting will be dedicated to a Field trip to the Sicilian pilot site of the project, where the project aims to restore an additional 320 ha. of coastal lagoon.
Discussions will evolve around the progress of the REST-COAST project towards the large-scale restoration activities across its nine pilot sites, along with an overview and workshops about the developments within REST-COAST social transformation tools, namely the mobile app and video game.
