Aslam Muhammad Faizan

Faizan is a Post-Degree Scientist at the Impacts on Agriculture, Forests, and Ecosystem Services division of CMCC. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Agricultural and Resource Economics and is currently finalizing a PhD in Agrometeorology and Ecophysiology of Agricultural and Forest Ecosystems from the University of Sassari, Italy. His research focuses on modelling the impact of climate change on water resources and food security, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions. Faizan is actively involved in projects aimed at enhancing water use efficiency in agriculture through field-scale adaptation practices. His work also involves optimizing the management of agro-ecosystems at the landscape level to enhance resource allocation across multiple crops and sectors, as well as conducting comprehensive risk assessments to address the challenges posed by climate change.
