Faizan is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Impacts on Agriculture, Forests, and Ecosystem Services division at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC). He holds a PhD in Agrometeorology and Ecophysiology of Agricultural and Forest Ecosystems from the University of Sassari, Italy. Research activities focus on modelling climate change impacts on water resources and food security within the Water Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus. Ongoing work includes projects aimed at improving water-use efficiency in agriculture through field-scale adaptation practices, as well as agro-ecosystem management at the landscape level to improve resource allocation across multiple crops and sectors. Activities also include risk assessment studies addressing climate-related challenges affecting agricultural and natural systems.
