Cecilia Castaldo is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and a Research Fellow at CMCC.

She holds a PhD in Regional Science and Economic Geography from the Gran Sasso Science Institute, an MSc in Disasters and Emergency Governance from the University of Verona, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Bologna. During her PhD, she was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics at the University of Chicago and at the Department of Environmental Science and Policy at the University of Milan. She has also collaborated with the World Bank as a research consultant. Her research focuses on how climate shocks affect economic behavior and policy, using advanced applied econometric techniques.
