Isidoros Iakovidis obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics from University of Bologna in June 2025 . His doctoral work focused on the theoretical analysis of kernel-based random forest methods, with applications to coastal ecology. Following his Ph.D., he held a postdoctoral position at the University of Sassari, where he worked on harmonic analysis and graph-based methods.

He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at CMCC, within the Climate Variability and Prediction Division, Institute for Earth System Predictions .
