Serena Lezzi is a Scientific Software Developer at the Global Coastal Division (GOCO) of the CMCC Foundation.
Serena earns her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics and in Astrophysics and Theoretical Physics from the University of Salento. She holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Naples ‘Federico II’ (2024). Her doctoral research focused on data analysis, interpretation, software development and planning of scientific observations in the field of Solar Physics.
In her current role, Serena is dedicated to the development and application of artificial intelligence-based models for the prediction and monitoring of the coastal marine environment as part of the CMCC Foundation’s Digital Twins of the Ocean project.
