Alessandra Mazzai is Stakeholders Outreach Lead within the Communication and Outreach Office at the CMCC Foundation – Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change. She has over 15 years of experience in climate-related communication and outreach, covering editorial activities, media relations, event organization, institutional communication, strategic networking, and the coordination of communication activities for EU Horizon 2020 projects.
She holds a Master in Environmental and Energy Economics and Management (MEMAE, 2009) from Bocconi University and a Master’s degree in Communication Strategies (2013) from the University of Padua.
From 2012 to 2017, she was in charge of Communication and External Relations at the International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG), while also serving as Project Manager at the CMCC Foundation. Previously, from 2009 to 2011, she worked in the Fundraising Office of the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM).
She co-authored, together with Professor Carlo Carraro, the books Il clima che cambia. Non solo un problema ambientale (Il Mulino, 2015) and Gli impatti dei cambiamenti climatici in Italia. Fotografie dal presente per capire il futuro (Edizioni Ca’ Foscari, 2017). In 2025, she contributed to the collective volume Lo sguardo oltre l’orizzonte. Voci di donne nel clima che cambia (Marsilio), which brings together the perspectives and experiences of women engaged in climate action and research.
