Yordany Morejón Loyola holds a degree in Computer Science Engineering with a focus on data science and open-source technologies. Currently, he serves as a Software Developer at the CMCC Foundation, GOCO Division, where he supports operational group activities (DSS). His work involves workflow automation, quality control, verification, and the monitoring of oceanographic models and forecasting systems for the Mediterranean region.
Previously, he worked as a Computing Sciences Specialist at the Atmospheric Physics Center, Institute of Meteorology in Havana, Cuba, from 2017 to 2023. In that role, he developed procedures and software for preprocessing and postprocessing numerical model data used in atmospheric research and forecasting, while also managing Unix systems and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructures.
