Rahat Tufail is an Earth observation and geospatial AI researcher with a PhD from the University of Bologna. He joined CMCC’s IAFES division as a researcher in crop modelling and machine learning for climate-risk assessment. Within the Earth Generator project, he supports food security monitoring by integrating satellite, climate, agricultural, and socio-economic data to assess crop risks, yield dynamics, and adaptation pathways.
