CMCC Role

In particular CMCC will take care  of :

• the organization (both scientific and logistic) of three events where the most important climate change research organizations will be involved in collaboration with the public authorities, the private enterprises and the international institutions.

An accurate activity of promotion and comunication of the event will be developed, first of all thanks to the organization of a dedicated section of the web site, and secondly thanks to the use of the different CMCC mailing lists that will be provided by the MATTM. CMCC will develop the scientific material according to the specific demands of the Ministry.

Every meeting will develop specific themes that will reflect, within the ambit of the environment, and in a wider perspective connected to the sustainable development, the big challenge that the Heads of State and the international community will have to face. The themes will be chosen in collaboration with the MATTM. The following themes are some general examples:

• The Artic with the big challenges connected to climate change and to the exploitation of the natural resources
• The biocombustibles between practicability and problems of development of  new energetic scenarios and new financial mechanisms
• Climate change as a chance of development of new energetic scenarios and new financial mechanisms
