The scientific colloquium of the MyOcean project (Prototype operational continuity of GMES services in the Marine Area) will be held on 19-21 November 2012 in Geesthacht near Hamburg, Germany, with the aim to discuss research and development of the observing and forecasting systems. Major focus is on data, modeling, data assimilation, quality control, users and downstream related issues. MyOcean Science Days invites not only all MyOcean scientists, but also scientists participating in other GMES related projects and other experts in the field of research supporting operational oceanography.
Themes:
- Review the status and current progress of the MyOcean R&D activities and of other GMES related projects and activities;
- Enhance exchange of scientific information between MyOcean and other interested scientists;
- Enhance the links between the MyOcean R&D segment and national and international research projects;
- Promote and assess the usage of MyOcean products for scientific research.
