The NEVERMORE webinar – Talks with IPCC authors is organised by CMCC Foundation, Advanced Training and Education Center (ATEC) within the framework of the NEVERMORE project and and brings together IPCC authors involved in the forthcoming seventh assessment cycle (AR7) and in the Special Report on Climate Change and Cities to provide insights into how scientific evidence is framed, assessed, and integrated into IPCC reports, as well as into current knowledge gaps and emerging research priorities. Moreover, it will explore how EU project-generated evidence can be better connected to the IPCC assessment process, identifying pathways to enhance its visibility and uptake.

The webinar will first offer an inside perspective on the IPCC process and thematic priorities across Working Groups to then move to some research findings from the project to discuss their relevance and potential contribution to future IPCC assessments.

Anna Pirani (CMCC), IPCC Focal Point for Italy (alternate) and author of Chapter 1 of IPCC AR7 (WGII).

Soheil Shayegh (CMCC), Director of CMCC’s Integrating planetary biogeochemical and industrial carbon cycle research program and author of Chapter 15 of IPCC AR7 (WGIII).
