He earned his degree in Mathematical Engineering from the University of Padua, where he developed a thesis on theoretical and computational models for complex fluids, with a particular focus on active liquid crystal emulsions.He subsequently obtained a PhD in Mathematical Analysis, Modelling and Applications from SISSA – International School for Advanced Studies, working on theoretical and computational models for continuum mechanics. His research focused on transient morphing and optimal shape design of synthetic and natural active structures.

Prior to joining EIEE, he held post-doctoral research positions in the Mathematics Departments of Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino.
