General aims

The main objective of PROLINE-CE is to improve protection of drinking water resources as well as protection against floods/droughts in order to facilitate implementation of existing strategies and management plans.


CMCC Role

CMCC is involved in all WPs, but mainly in WP T.2. CMCC’s experience allows to implement a pilot action in the Po river system, located in the Interreg programme area.


Expected results
  • Operationalization of best practice strategies for water protection
  • Strategies for the implementation of land-use management concepts for drinking water protection
  • Capacity building for relevant stakeholders and administrations through panel discussions, workshops (etc)

Activity

The activities will be related to an integrated evaluation of the impact of climate change and land use changes on water quantity and quality, focusing on one or more tributaries of river Po.
