Diana joined CMCC in 2020 and specializes in model development for the Black Sea Forecasting System. She brings extensive experience in regional ocean modeling, having previously worked at MARUM and NIWA Institutes, where she used a coupled ocean-atmosphere model to generate projections for the North Sea and New Zealand’s economic zones. Diana has also contributed to projects focused on wave climate and coastal protection. She holds a MEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto and an MSc in Physical Oceanography from the University of Barcelona, allowing her to approach her work from a strong multidisciplinary perspective.
