General aims
PLACARD will establish a comprehensive coordination and knowledge exchange platform for Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) for multi-stakeholder dialogue and consultation to address gaps and fragmentation challenges in current CCA and DRR research, policymaking and practice, and support the development and implementation of an evidence base for research and innovation policies.

- WP3 ‘Knowledge brokerage: Assessment, Translation and Synthesis’,

- WP5 ‘Evaluation, learning and legacy’,
- WP6 ‘Communication and Connectivity Hub’.
Expected results
- (M24) resp. for deliverable D2.1 ‘Final report on the inventory and mapping of the existing SPINE’;
- (M30) for deliverable D2.2 ‘Final release of the network database and associated documentation’;
- (M18) resp. for milestone ‘Release of the first version of the network database and associated documentation;
- contribution to the deliverables within WPs 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Activity
- Conduct a stocktaking review that explores and maps the current state-of-the-art between CCA and DRR communities (including international, European and national networks, initiatives, programmes, projects and platforms);
- Contribute to the identification and selection of Stakeholders to be invited for participation in the ‘PLACARD Interchange’ (WP1 and WP6);
- Analyse, structure, cluster and document the CCA and DRR landscape by iteratively performing a “semantically driven network analysis” that establishes a sustainable network database;
- Contribute to activites within WPs 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
