TABASCO – Plan of Adaptation Measures to reduce Vulnerability of Lagoon System Carmen-Pajonal-Machona, Tabasco, to Impacts created by Climate Change and Human Activities

The lagoon system Carmen-Pajonal-Machona is located in the Gulf of Mexico and has an area of 190 km2. Anthropogenic change, mainly due to oil extraction, has changed the hydrodynamic, morphological and ecological characteristics of the lagoon system. Other causes of alteration are: agricultural development, deforestation and industrial development. In addition to these problems, which already make the system vulnerable, there are further problems due to the impact of climate change. The project aims at designing adaptation measures to climate change, which will be managed by local communities.

TALANOA-WATER – Talanoa Water Dialogue for Transformational Adaptation to Water Scarcity Under Climate Change

TALANOA-WATER aims at informing and catalyzing the adoption of robust transformational adaptation strategies to water scarcity under climate change that contribute to the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) objectives of social equity, economic efficiency and environmental sustainability.

TIMES-CGE soft-link methodology and interface

This project will develop and test a methodology for soft-linking bottom-up models of the TIMES “family” with a computable general equilibrium model type.

TRANSFORMAR – Accelerating and upscaling transformational adaptation in Europe: demonstration of water-related innovation packages

TransformAr aims to develop and demonstrate solutions and pathways to achieve rapid and far-reaching transformational adaptation across the EU. Cross-sectoral and multi-scale innovation packages, as the combination of solutions and pathways, will support regions and communities in their societal transformation towards climate change resilience. Transformational adaptation (TA) will be triggered by a co-innovation process that will co-create transformational adaptation pathways for six demonstrator regions and communities in Europe.
