AGU Annual Meeting
15 -19 December 2025  |  New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
More information

The CMCC Foundation participates in the upcoming AGU25, one of the largest international gatherings in Earth and climate sciences, gathering a multidisciplinary community of researchers, educators, students, and policymakers. Taking place from 15 to 19 December 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA and organized by the American Geophysical Union, this year edition theme – “Where Science Connects Us” – resonates deeply with CMCC’s research identity and global mission: using science to build bridges across disciplines, geographies, and scales to support communities facing the accelerating impacts of climate change.

At AGU25, water becomes a symbol of connection, resilience, and shared responsibility – a theme deeply aligned with CMCC’s work on water resources, vulnerable communities, and the natural and urban systems increasingly exposed to climate extremes. Joining global researchers, practitioners, and policymakers CMCC will explore solutions grounded in science, cooperation, and innovation.

Held in hybrid format, AGU full agenda features plenary lectures, oral and poster sessions, panel discussions, and opportunities for scientific exchange across a wide range of research areas.

Come and meet CMCC at AGU

At AGU25, CMCC scientists present their latest research on water management, weather forecasting, and climate adaptation, focusing on how data, technology, and governance can support fair and climate-resilient water management and support climate adaptation strategies.

Throughout the conference, the CMCC booth #1349 is open for attendees to explore the world of CMCC through videos, visual stories, and digital content showcasing ongoing work from projects and field sites. CMCC scientists and staff welcome policymakers, journalists, scientists and curious visitors to stop by, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration with our recruiting team.
